About

Midwestern Gentleman is dedicated to promoting the lifestyle of America’s heartland. A place where modesty, integrity and moderation reign supreme. Today’s media is saturated with coastal undertones, whether it is the lights, camera action of Hollywood or fluorescent polo shirt, chino pant wearing yacht club members of the East Coast. We have simpler tastes than what you find inside a GQ and don’t fully understand Jeff Foxworthy’s jokes.

In essence, we are your everyday guy who enjoys Bob Seger, drink beers brewed right here in the Midwest and prefer a pontoon boat over a 45′ footer any day. We do enjoy the simplicity of bass fishing but we know that the Great Lakes yield more dividends than any muddy southern lake. We are Midwesterners, simple, masculine and friendly and proud of it.

As you cruise the site you will see our content is all over the place, from where to find the best IPA to how to dress on a night out. We touch on fashion, sports, wine, music, history and more. When you leave the site your ability to identify with the Midwest will be stronger. The rest of the country might peg us as boring, think of us as country bumpkins and mistake us as merely flyby states. However, those who grew up here and those who have spent time here know that it is a culture many people can become accustomed to.

If you follow our features and follow the site, you too can become a part of the growing community of Midwestern Gentlemen. The MWG culture has taken shape in just over a year, gaining friends all over the Midwest. Check out the videos below to get more insight into the community we welcome everyone to join. Cheers…
